In China territorial development policies are linked to industrial policies elaborated by the Central Government, and to its ambitious strategy to promote innovation. China is becoming a leader in various sectors, and we can imagine that this rapid development will impact urbanization dynamics. This conference will decipher these changes which are still difficult to measure and explore opportunities that are arising to European stakeholders.
The second international event organised in the context of the MEDIUM project. While research conducted in the context of the project focus primarily on medium-sized cities, the conference will consider urban China in its diversity, with a great variety of case studies including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Tianjin, the region of the Taihu lake etc.
Natacha Aveline, Valentina Anzoise, Cinzia Losavio and Juste Raimbault’s papers have been selected for 2017 International Conference on China Urban Development.
The MEDIUM project organised its third stakeholder workshop on March 17th in Zhuhai. While the two previous workshops that focused on the Sci Tech City of Hangzhou, the topic of this one was the Zhuhai High Tech Zone.
On February 25th 2017, the Hangzhou Normal University organized the Hangzhou internationalization Summit and the inaugural meeting of the Institute for Hangzhou Internationalization.
The third scientific event organised in the context of MEDIUM project will focus on the case of Zhuhai. Addressing the three dimensions of sustainable development – social, economic and environmental- the presentations will put into perspective Zhuhai development strategy.
